In July/August 2026, we welcomed a brand new board. Faced with the immediate need to solicit donations to support support staff and instructional needs for Skinner West, we launched the Magic of Mondays Campaign.
As we prepared for the new school year, we worked with the school to assess needs — technology, curriculum support, and classroom needs.
A Few Highlights
We rebranded FOSW to help people connect more with the organization and expanded the spirit store to include gear for the entire family. Better gear = more money raised for FOSW.
We introduced a $500 stipend for all teachers and support staff so they could get what they need for their classroom without coming out-of-pocket.
We solicited over $30,000 in donations for Magic of Mondays to restore support positions. We also worked to find more money within our budget from expired contracts.
We launched the ‘A Friend Can Cover It’ program where FOSW and Faculty can work together to provide financial support for field trips for students/families experiencing hardship.
We kicked off the school year with a Back to School Bash selling spirit wear and provided meals to teachers and staff during Week 0 training and professional development.
