For the Kids: Fundraising for Skinner West
What We Do
Friends of Skinner West is a tax-exempt 501(c)3 organization founded in 2011 to bring families, educators, and the community together in support of our Mark T. Skinner West Elementary School. Through volunteer work, fundraising, and partnerships, we provide the resources and opportunities that help Skinner West continue to grow and thrive.
What Friends of Skinner West Fundraising Supports
School Improvement
In partnership with school leadership, we work to determine the greatest need for the upcoming school year or long-term infrastructure projects. Previous projects have included a STEM lab, school gym, and book vending machine.
Technology
An iPad, a Smart Board, a Chromebook?
You name it, we’ll support it as long as it’s aligned with our mission of improving education for our students.
Curriculum
Our kids learn best, and our teachers teach best with access to the most up-to-date curriculum. Each year, we work with faculty and staff to purchase necessary updates.
Faculty & Staff Support
The people who teach, support, and help our students deserve the world. We help ease the burden by making sure they have access to additional classroom supplies, furniture, and technology.
